How to choose a ring size?

You should choose your ring size responsibly. Good practice when choosing a ring: it is better to choose a ring that is slightly smaller than a larger size, unless your fingers tend to swell due to heat. There are people who wear some rings in the winter and others in the summer due to swelling of their fingers, because they are of different sizes, and the circumference of their fingers changes significantly depending on the time of year.

In Lithuania, the size of the ring is determined by measuring the inner diameter of the ring. The inner diameter is most conveniently measured with an electronic caliper. We would like to note that when choosing a wider ring due to the shape of the finger or teeth, a larger ring size may be required. Therefore, measuring the thickness of the finger with a caliper is not a reliable method.

Another way to find out the approximate size of the ring is to place the ring you have on a ruler and see how many millimeters the inner diameter is.

Find out your ring size at home

Another home method is to use a paper strip or thread: wrap it around your finger and measure the length of the strip. However, here you will need to remember the formula and apply it, i.e. divide the length of the strip by the number (Pi) 3.14159
